  • Heuchera ‘Marmalade’ is one of those plants that really warms up a garden. Its leaves come in rich shades of amber, orange and copper, and the colour can shift slightly through the seasons, so it always feels a bit interesting rather than static.

  • It grows into a neat, compact clump, which makes it easy to place just about anywhere — in borders, pots or mixed containers. It’s especially good for adding a bit of warmth and contrast, and works really nicely alongside greens or darker foliage.

  • Up close, the leaves have a nice texture to them, which adds a bit more character. In late spring and summer, it may send up small, delicate flowers, but it’s really the foliage that makes this plant stand out.

  • Once it’s settled in, it’s very easy to look after and doesn’t need much attention, making it a great choice if you want something low effort but still full of colour.

    Watering Water during establishment and in dry periods; keep soil evenly moist but well drained.

    Best Growing Conditions Plant in sun or partial shade with well-drained soil. It prefers a slightly sheltered spot and will benefit from regular watering while it’s getting established. Just remove any older leaves now and again to keep it looking fresh.
