  • The Mini Cucumber Plant is a small, very productive type that grows well in small places like patios, balconies, and greenhouses. It makes a lot of small cucumbers that are crunchy and refreshing, making them great for snacking, lunchboxes, and salads.

  • This plant grows in a tidy way, so it's great for pots and containers. Plus, it gives you a lot of fruit. Pick mini cucumbers when they are still young and often to keep them soft and to encourage the plant to keep producing all season.

  • Plant genus Cucumis

Watering Keep the soil consistently moist while the crop is establishing and growing, especially during flowering, fruiting or rapid leafy growth. Water deeply at the base rather than little and often, allowing excess water to drain away. Plants in containers, grow bags or greenhouses may need daily checks during warm weather.

Best Growing Conditions Grow in sun or partial shade in fertile, well-drained loam, enriched with organic matter where appropriate. Choose an open position with good airflow and enough space for the crop to mature without excessive competition. Protect tender crops from late frost and cold winds, and use greenhouse or sheltered growing conditions where the variety requires extra warmth.

    Top tip

Remove faded flowers regularly to keep the plant tidy and encourage the longest possible flowering display. Protect it from frost and consider moving container-grown plants to a sheltered, frost-free position for winter.
