• The Epipremnum genus, which includes pothos, is native to the tropical Solomon Islands. These plants can grow huge leaves if given something to climb on and are found in the wild growing on trees. Pothos can adapt from lower lighting to indirect light. Too little light and the variegation will fade. Water when the soil is mostly dry. Pothos are simple to propagate through leaf cuttings.

• This plants likes to be positioned within a east or west facing area that receives bright indirect sunlight. Too much shade can cause the silvery flecks to fade and the plant to lose it's velvety texture. If this occurs it's important to move your plant into a brighter area.

• Water moderately, allowing the top of the soil to dry out, between watering. It's best grown in well drained soil and it doesn't like to be over watered.

• You will get 4 Pothos plants in 10 cm pots.

Watering Water when the top few centimetres of compost begin to dry, then water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain away. Do not leave the plant sitting in standing water, as consistently wet roots can lead to rot. Growth slows in winter, so reduce watering frequency during cooler, darker months.

Best Growing Conditions Grow in bright, indirect light and protection from harsh direct sun, ideally at around 18-26°C, away from cold draughts and sudden temperature changes. Use a good-quality, well-drained houseplant compost and make sure excess water can drain freely from the pot. Most houseplants perform best with moderate humidity and should be kept away from strong radiator heat.
