  • Anemone St Brigid Mixed, often called poppy flowered anemones, produce large, semi double blooms in rich shades of red, purple, pink, white, and blue. These bold, layered flowers sit above finely cut green foliage and are a standout choice for Spring displays.

  • Soak these robust bulbs in water for 12-24 hours before planting to encourage healthy growth. Plant 5-8 cm deep and around 10 cm apart from September to December, or early spring if missed. Choose fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Keep watered during active growth and allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering.

  • Perfect for garden beds, borders, and patio pots, Anemone St Brigid’s vibrant, long lasting flowers provide a splash of colour when most Spring plants are still emerging.

  • Plant genus Anemone

Watering Water thoroughly after planting to settle the soil around the bulbs. During active growth, water in prolonged dry spells so the soil stays lightly moist but never waterlogged. Once the foliage naturally dies back, reduce watering and allow the bulbs to rest more dryly.

Best Growing Conditions Plant in fertile loam in sun or partial shade. Choose a position that does not stay waterlogged in winter, as good drainage helps bulbs return reliably. Allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering so the bulb can store energy for the following season.

    Top tip

Allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering so the bulb can store energy for the following season. In colder parts of the UK, give it a sheltered position and provide winter protection during prolonged frost.
