  • Striking evergreen colour blend - Calluna Tricolour Heather displays a unique mix of green, cream, and pink foliage that changes subtly with the seasons. This evergreen variety brings constant visual interest to borders, rockeries, and patio containers, adding warmth and texture even through winter.

  • Hardy and easy to grow - A tough, low maintenance plant that thrives in well-drained, acidic soil and full sun. Perfect for UK gardens, the Calluna Tricolour is resilient against frost, wind, and rain, making it a reliable choice for year round colour.

  • Ideal for pollinators and ground cover - In late summer, it produces masses of tiny mauve pink flowers that attract bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects. Its dense, mat forming growth habit also helps suppress weeds and protect soil, creating a vibrant and low effort carpet of colour in any outdoor space.

Watering Water thoroughly after planting and keep the soil evenly moist while the plant establishes. Once established, water during prolonged dry periods rather than little and often, allowing the soil to drain between waterings. Container-grown plants should be checked more frequently in warm or windy weather.

Best Growing Conditions Grow in sun or partial shade in acidic, well-drained ericaceous soil or compost. Choose a position with good airflow and enough space for the plant to reach its mature size. Mulch after planting and keep the root zone free from prolonged waterlogging, particularly through winter.

    Top tip

Remove damaged or spent growth as it appears and keep the area around the plant free from weeds so air and light can reach the base. Keep the root zone on the acidic side with ericaceous compost or suitable acidic soil, and avoid lime-based feeds.
