            • Tulip ‘Orange Pride’ is a standout spring bulb variety, known for its bold, cup-shaped flowers in rich, glowing shades of vibrant orange. Flowering from March to May, it delivers a bright and cheerful burst of colour that lifts beds, borders, and patio containers.

            • Plant tulip bulbs in Autumn, in a spot with well draining soil and full sun from October to December, before the ground freezes. Space bulbs approximately 10 cm apart and plant them at a depth of two to three times the height of the bulb. Water after planting, add compost or mulch to help improve drainage and boost growth. Allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering.

            • Tulips are perfect for planting in flower beds, garden borders, and patio containers. Their upright form and showy blooms are ideal for formal planting schemes or mixed garden styles. For maximum impact plant in groups or drifts, and even enjoy their beauty indoors as cut flowers.

Watering Water thoroughly after planting to settle the soil around the bulbs. During active growth, water in prolonged dry spells so the soil stays lightly moist but never waterlogged. Once the foliage naturally dies back, reduce watering and allow the bulbs to rest more dryly.

Best Growing Conditions Plant in multi-purpose compost in sun or partial shade. Choose a position that does not stay waterlogged in winter, as good drainage helps bulbs return reliably. Allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering so the bulb can store energy for the following season.

            Top tip

Allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering so the bulb can store energy for the following season. It works particularly well in a borders setting; give it enough space and light to develop naturally rather than crowding it.
