- Agave stricta ‘Nana’, known as the Dwarf Hedgehog Agave, is a compact plant that makes a statement right away, thanks to its unique form. It develops dense rosettes of slender, light green leaves, creating a visually pleasing, harmonious appearance that's ideal for modern gardens.
- The leaves are tipped with a sharp spine, and their edges are lined with tiny teeth, which gives the plant a textured, slightly rough quality.
- This agave, with its complex shape and striking appearance, is an excellent choice for rock gardens, gravel beds, pots, and even as a houseplant.
- While it certainly draws attention, Agave stricta ‘Nana’ isn't overbearing, making it ideal for smaller gardens or container displays on a patio. Its sturdy form and low maintenance needs have made it a popular selection for those seeking to add something unique and visually interesting.
- Please note: the decorative pot shown in the images is for illustration purposes only and is not included with the plant.

Watering Water when the top few centimetres of compost begin to dry, then water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain away. Do not leave the plant sitting in standing water, as consistently wet roots can lead to rot. Growth slows in winter, so reduce watering frequency during cooler, darker months.
Best Growing Conditions Grow in bright, indirect light, ideally at around 18-26°C, away from cold draughts and sudden temperature changes. Use well-drained soil and make sure excess water can drain freely from the pot. Most houseplants perform best with moderate humidity and should be kept away from strong radiator heat.
