  • Alcea ‘Apple Blossom’ is a lovely hollyhock that adds a soft, romantic feel to the garden. Its tall stems become covered in gentle pink flowers that resemble apple blossom, bringing a warm, cottage-garden charm to summer borders. When it’s in bloom, it creates a beautiful backdrop behind lower plants and really helps fill out a planting scheme.

  • It’s particularly nice planted along fences, walls or at the back of a border where the tall flower spikes have room to grow. Bees and other pollinators are naturally drawn to the flowers, so it also helps bring a bit of extra life into the garden.

    Watering Water regularly during establishment and in dry periods; keep soil evenly moist but well drained.

    Best Growing Conditions Plant in a sunny, sheltered spot in well-drained soil. Water regularly while the plant establishes and support the stems if they become tall. Remove faded flowers to keep the plant looking tidy and encourage more blooms.
