Light Required This Elephant Ear houseplant thrives best in well lit, bright conditions. Direct sunlight can lead to leaves becoming scorched. As this is a tropical plant it needs to be kept warm, ideally between 18-22°C, so a kitchen or bathroom is the ideal spot.

Watering Alocasia Stingray’s do not like to dry out and should be watered regularly. The soil should be kept moist with warm water but not soaking. Give them a regular mist and a monthly feed in the growing months to keep them happy. Alocasia go through a dormant period in the Winter, their leaves will drop and the plant may die back. During this phase less water is required.

Best Growing Conditions Alocasia do not like to grow in shaded conditions, if they receive too much lower light levels this can lead to the plant suffering.
