Astrantia Major Rubra: Distinctive perennial, commonly known as masterwort, produces clusters of deep ruby red, pincushion-like flowers surrounded by papery bracts.
Flowering: Blooms from early to late summer, adding long-lasting colour and texture to shady borders.
Foliage: Attractive, deeply divided foliage provides interest even when not in flower
Growth Conditions: Prefers partial shade with moist, fertile, well-drained soil; will tolerate full sun if soil remains cool and damp
Flexible Use: Supplied as bare root, ready to plant directly into beds and borders. Perfect for cottage gardens, woodland planting, or cut flower arrangements.
Prefers partial shade or dappled sunlight; will grow in full sun if the soil is reliably moist.
Keep the soil consistently moist during the first growing season. Once established, water when the top inch of soil is dry. Avoid overwatering.
