  • Ornamental appeal: Azalea Simsii is a compact, evergreen shrub valued for its profusion of vibrant, showy blooms in shades of pink, purple or white, often appearing in late winter to spring. Its glossy green foliage provides year-round interest.

  • Ideal growing conditions: Prefers acidic, well-draining soil in partial shade, avoiding harsh midday sun. Regular watering is needed to keep the soil consistently moist, but not waterlogged. Best suited for containers, borders, or as a feature in woodland and shaded gardens.

  • Care and maintenance: Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage bushy growth. Feed with an ericaceous fertiliser during the growing season. Protect from frost and cold winds, as Azalea Simsii is sensitive to extreme temperatures.

    Watering Water your plant regularly during the growing season and always keep the soil evenly moist but never allow your plant to sit in water. You can allow the top 1 inch of soil to dry out between each watering. During the winter months, water sparingly.
