  • Bacopa, a favourite for its profusion of petite blossoms, is a go-to for creating those lovely, cascading effects in containers. You can find it in Giant White, Giant Blue, or a mixed trio, each bringing a gentle touch of colour and texture to your summer displays.

  • The Giant White variety is a showstopper, with its trailing stems absolutely covered in delicate white flowers. Giant Blue, on the other hand, offers soft blue blooms that provide a lovely contrast. Both types are generous bloomers, ensuring a long-lasting, vibrant display that works beautifully in combination with other plants.

  • This trailing plant is perfect for hanging baskets, window boxes, planters, and patio containers, where it integrates seamlessly with other summer bedding plants. Bacopa comes in 9cm pots, and it settles in quickly, delivering dependable, enduring colour all season long.

  • Plant genus Chaenostoma

Watering Water thoroughly after planting and keep the soil evenly moist while the plant establishes. Once established, water during prolonged dry periods rather than little and often, allowing the soil to drain between waterings. Container-grown plants should be checked more frequently in warm or windy weather.

Best Growing Conditions Grow in sun or partial shade in fertile, well-drained loam. Choose a position with good airflow and enough space for the plant to reach its mature size. Protect from hard frost and cold, drying winds, especially while young or when grown in containers.

    Top tip

Remove faded flowers regularly to keep the plant tidy and encourage the longest possible flowering display. In colder parts of the UK, give it a sheltered position and provide winter protection during prolonged frost.
