Spring to Summer

  • With this mixed bulb collection, you will receive 50 Spring to Summer flowering perennial bulbs in lovely blue and purple tones loved by pollinating insects, in particular bees and butterflies perfect for growing in UK gardens from the following varieties - Iris Blue Magic, Muscari armeniacum, Spanish Bluebell, Allium Caeruleum Azureum and Hyacinth Blue Trophy. Please note that quantities and varieties may vary depending on availability. This blue mixed bulb collection will provide colour and interest from early Spring right the way through to mid and late Summer. All of these bulbs complement each other perfectly when planted together and can grow to between 15 and 70 cm in height, depending on the variety.

  • These mixed bulbs are great for growing in flower beds, garden borders or in patio pots. They are also ideal for growing in woodland gardens or rock gardens with smaller headed varieties such as muscari and bluebells being ideal for growing around the base of deciduous trees or shrubs. While taller varieties like hyacinths, iris and allium are excellent accompaniments to low growing plants such as ornamental grasses or herbaceous plants.

  • If you are not ready to plant bulbs now, then store them in a cool, dry, frost free, well ventilated location. A garage, shed, loft or cupboard are ideal. Open the paper bag to allow air to circulate round but leave the bulbs in their bags until ready to plant. Just make sure mice or other rodents can’t get access to them. Keep an eye on your bulbs while in storage, if they are showing signs of going soft, it's best to get them planted before they deteriorate any further.
