- The Calathea Orbifolia is a decorative and unique house plant with its stunning rounded light green and white-striped leaves. It is ideal for Scandi style home settings but is not limited to this environment alone. New young leaves unfurl a lighter green that darkens as the plant matures.

This plant has air purifying properties and can thrive in lower light conditions but does prefer indirect sunlight. Bright direct sunlight can cause the stunning colours on the leaves to fade and with prolonged exposure this can cause the leaves to burn or scorch.
Calatheas must be kept in damp soil at all times. It's important not to let them sit in water or in very wet soil as this can lead to root rot.
They do prefer higher humidity and temperatures between 18-23°C. To boost the humidity levels, spraying the leaves frequently or placing it near a shower occasionally will help.
