- Like most of the Calathea species, this plant goes to sleep every night by rolling its leaves into an upright position.
During the day it requires bright, indirect light for 6 or more hours each day. Its important not to allow it to sit in direct sunlight.
This plant likes consistently moist soil. Water the plant thoroughly and allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again.
Be careful not to overwater, as this can cause root rot. If the soil is too wet, you may notice the leaves starting to turn yellow or show signs of wilting.

Scheduled dispatch – Cut and potted Christmas trees will be dispatched during your selected delivery week.
Express Delivery – If available and chosen, your tree will be dispatched the next working day.
Pre-orders – Items sold on pre-order without a delivery week will be dispatched as soon as stock arrives, estimated from early November onwards.
In-stock items – Products listed as in stock (with no scheduled delivery) will be dispatched as soon as possible.
Mixed orders – If you order other products along with a tree that has a delivery week, everything will be dispatched together so you receive all your Christmas items at the same time.
