Best Growing Conditions Grow in partial shade to gentle sun in acidic, well-drained ericaceous soil or compost. Choose a position with good airflow and enough space for the plant to reach its mature size. Shelter from cold drying winds and strong early-morning sun, especially when flower buds are developing.
