- ABUNDANCE OF FLOWERS - This low growing shrub is a must have for hot, sunny borders and gravel gardens. From June to August the bright pink, tissue-paper blooms are borne in abundance.
- COPES IN POOR SOIL - This variety enjoys poor, dry soils where many plants would struggle, and copes well in coastal positions.
- UNUSUAL FLOWERS - These are papery-looking with a rich, golden-yellow eye and petals that are slightly crinkled towards the edges. It has a dense, rounded growth habit with pointed, dark green, textured foliage that compliments the flowers beautifully.
- EVENTUAL SIZE - This shrub grows to a maximum height and spread of 1m so its great for patio pots or indeed front to middle of borders.
Light Required This variety does very well in full sun , makes it a great option to light up an area of the garden that may have shade
Watering Water thoroughly during dry weather until well established.
Best Growing Conditions Plant the Cistus Sunset in a sunny, warm area of the garden where it will thrive with moist, well drained soils and sheltered from strong cold winds. A super easy to grow garden plant that is generally disease and pest free and requiring minimal, if any pruning! Once the Cistus is established it will be unlikely to need pruning but in late spring you may need to remove any dead or damaged branches and any which grow out of the natural framework of the plant.
