Grow your own fresh courgettes at home with our Courgette Plants (Cucurbita). Quick growing and productive, courgettes are a great choice for vegetable gardens, allotments, raised beds and large patio containers.

Choose from Atena Polka F1, Eight Ball F1, Ambassador F1, Taxi F1 or Mixed, with each variety offering something a little different for your homegrown harvest. Pick courgettes regularly while they are young and tender to encourage the plants to keep producing throughout summer.

Plant your Cucurbita courgette plants in a warm, sunny and sheltered position with fertile, well-drained soil. Keep them well watered during dry spells and feed regularly once flowering begins.

Easy to grow, versatile and rewarding, Courgette Plants are a brilliant choice for gardeners wanting plenty of fresh summer vegetables from a relatively small growing space.

Watering Keep the soil consistently moist while the crop is establishing and growing, especially during flowering, fruiting or rapid leafy growth. Water deeply at the base rather than little and often, allowing excess water to drain away. Plants in containers, grow bags or greenhouses may need daily checks during warm weather.

Best Growing Conditions Grow in sun or partial shade in multi-purpose compost, enriched with organic matter where appropriate. Choose an open position with good airflow and enough space for the crop to mature without excessive competition. Protect tender crops from late frost and cold winds, and use greenhouse or sheltered growing conditions where the variety requires extra warmth.
