It produces lovely maroon edges that develop in cooler temperatures and when exposed to enough sunlight. - Jade plants prefer to grow in normal home humidity but can cope with slightly higher humidity levels. Best grown in bright indirect sunlight, but a few hours of direct sunlight will benefit the plant enhancing the variegation. Too much shade can result in the colourful leaves being less vibrant. Water moderately, letting the soil dry out completely between watering.
