  • Dracaena Malaika is a real live houseplant commonly known as the Dragon Tree or the Corn Plant, due to its long and slender leaves that look similar to corn leaves. This tropical evergreen air purifying mini Indoor in a 6cm pot has sparsely branching stems and an upright growing habit. Its long, narrow, arching, vibrant green leaves are complemented by a pale green and creamy white streak in the centre.

  • Care for a Dracaena Malaika is pretty straightforward and relatively low maintenance, making it the perfect gift for any house plant enthusiasts including complete beginners. This houseplant can grow to a maximum height of 150cm when mature.

  • Though it prefers indirect light, this Dragon tree can also tolerate low light conditions, meaning it can suit someone who has less access to natural light. When watering it prefers to be on the drier side, so allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Provide a well draining soil, like a standard indoor potting mix or create your own by mixing equal parts of peat moss, perlite, and vermiculite. Your Dracaena Malaika will also benefit from regular fertilisation.

  • Repot your Dracaena around every 2-3 years or if you see roots emerging or soil drying too quickly. Choose a slightly larger pot with good drainage, select a  well-draining potting mix, carefully remove the plant from its current pot,  and set your plant in the new pot and gently fill around the roots with soil. Water well once potted.

  • Light Required Bright, indirect sunlight

Best Growing Conditions Though it prefers indirect light, this Dragon tree can also tolerate low light conditions.
