  • Fatsia Japonica is a fantastic foliage plant that instantly gives a space a bold, tropical feel. Its large, glossy green leaves can grow up to 45cm wide, creating a dramatic look that works beautifully both indoors and outdoors. The deeply lobed leaves have a slightly leathery texture and bring year-round greenery and structure wherever they’re placed.

  • One of the best things about Fatsia is how adaptable it is. It can cope with anything from full sun to full shade, making it a really easy plant to position around the home or garden. It looks great in patio pots, shaded borders or as a statement houseplant, and once established, it’s very low maintenance.

  • It enjoys regular moisture during spring and summer, but otherwise doesn’t ask for much. If grown outdoors, it’s best kept in a sheltered spot, and container planting makes it easier to move indoors during colder weather if needed.
