The Fatsia Japonica is a medium-sized evergreen shrub with an open, spreading habit. It produces large and lobed leaves to 45cm in width, they look like giant outstretched hands and have a leathery texture to them.

Can be grown indoors or outdoors.

Watering

Regular moisture is essential during Spring and Summer. Water regularly to ensure the soil never dries out, saturating the soil completely until water runs from the container’s drainage holes. During the Autumn and Winter months, cut back on your watering slightly to allow the plant to rest.

Best Growing Conditions

This plant can be grown in both indoors and outdoors. If kept outdoors we advise keeping it in a sheltered area and to plant into a pot in a that can be moved indoors if the temperature drops.
