  • Gloriosa Rothschildiana, commonly known as the Flame Lily, is an exotic and dramatic summer-flowering climber prized for its striking, flame-like blooms. The unusual flowers feature bold red petals edged with bright yellow, which curl back as they open, creating a truly eye-catching display. Flowering from mid to late summer, this plant brings a strong tropical feel to gardens, patios and conservatories.

  • This vigorous but elegant plant produces slender climbing stems that can be trained up trellis, canes or obelisks, making it ideal for containers, sheltered borders and glasshouse growing.     Watering Water regularly during active growth, keeping soil moist but well drained; reduce watering after flowering.

    Best Growing Conditions Plant Gloriosa Rothschildiana bulbs in spring, once the risk of frost has passed. Grow in well-drained soil or loam-based compost in a warm, sheltered position with full sun or light partial shade. Provide support for climbing stems and water regularly during growth. Reduce watering as the plant dies back and store bulbs dry and frost-free over winter.
