Try growing something a little different with our Honeyberry Plants (Lonicera caerulea). These hardier fruit shrubs produce long blue berries with a delicious sweet but slightly tangy flavor and are perfect for eating fresh or in jams, smoothies, desserts and baking. You can choose from Morena, Blue Velvet, Kamtschatica and Blue Moon, each variety has its own growing characteristics and tasty crops. Planting several compatible varieties also helps with pollination and fruit production.

Lonicera caerulea is exceptionally hardy and easy to grow, performing well in a sunny or partially shaded position with fertile, well-drained soil. The plants produce attractive early flowers followed by their distinctive blue fruits.

Easy to care for and rewarding to grow, Honeyberry plants are a fantastic addition to fruit gardens, allotments and edible planting schemes.

Light Required Full sun to partial shade

Watering Water regularly during establishment; keep soil evenly moist, especially during flowering and fruiting.

Best Growing Conditions Plant honeyberries in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-drained soil. Water regularly during the first growing season to help establish strong roots, and continue watering during prolonged dry spells. Honeyberries are very hardy and low maintenance once established. Prune lightly in winter only if needed, removing dead or crossing branches to maintain a healthy shape.
