  • The Hoya australis often known as the Common Wax Flower is an evergreen foliage plant with thick fleshy shiny green leaves. This real live popular houseplant on a hoop is also known as the Waxvine, Honey Plant and Porcelain Flower and produces clusters of sweetly scented white star shaped flowers with red pink centres. It's beautiful shape makes it a perfect gift idea for plant lovers.

  • This pretty indoor plant in a 12cm plastic growing pot likes higher humidity levels available in a kitchen or bathroom but it looks great growing in a living room or as a desk plant. With its air purifying qualities the Wax Flower helps clean the air, removing harmful toxins and providing a healthy and fresh environment. NOTE: the decorative pot is not included, it will arrive in a 12cm plastic growing pot.

  • This vining houseplant has a fast growing climbing or trailing habit often growing up to an incredible 3 metres. It can continue to be displayed on the hoop provided but can also be trained to grow up a moss pole or decorative indoor plant structure. Hoya australis plants are also ideal for displaying in a hanging planter or in a decorative pot on a shelf or on top of a bookcase, where the twining vines will grow downwards.

Light Required

This indoor plant prefers to grow in filtered or bright indirect sunlight. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves whereas insufficient light can cause growth and flowering to become leggy.

Watering

Water your Hoya plant when the top 3 cm of soil are dry to the touch. Cut back on watering in the Winter months.

Best Growing Conditions

Its waxy, succulent leaves give the plant the ability to withstand relatively dry conditions but avoid letting the leaves shrivel or wilt between waterings.
