- FLOWER CHANGES COLOUR - Flower starts deep orange red, the flower buds become paler before they open, while the flowers will continue to fade to pale yellow as they mature.
- SHADE LOVER - This herbaceous plant can grow in partial shade in the garden or sun also.
- PLANT CARE - In autumn remove and compost the faded, flower spikes and apply a deep, dry mulch around the crown of the plant.

Best Growing Conditions
This forst hardy plant (down to -15C) grows best in a sandy soil that has been enriched with humus and will tolerate most deep well-draining soils. Full sun is best; can tolerate partial shade but flowering is reduced. Propagate by division of established clumps in late spring or by taking offshoots from the crown.
