Best Growing Conditions This forst hardy plant (down to -15C) grows best in a sandy soil that has been enriched with humus and will tolerate most deep well-draining soils. Full sun is best; can tolerate partial shade but flowering is reduced. Propagate by division of established clumps in late spring or by taking offshoots from the crown.
