LAUREL BAY HERB PLANT - Bay botanically known Laurus nobilis is a versatile easy to grow live evergreen herb plant with glossy green leaves, providing interest in the garden all year round. Laurel Bay evergreen leaves can be picked all year round, to be used fresh or dried in cooking to give a fragrant flavour to soups, stews and other slow cooking dishes.

GROWING - Laurus nobilis like to grow in a South or West facing position in full sun but can cope with partial shade. They require shelter from cold winds and frost. Water regularly to keep the soil moist but not overly wet. Allow the soil to dry somewhat between waterings but do not let it dry completely.
ONGOING CARE - During the Winter it is advised to bring Bay plants indoors to a cool area that gets plenty of sunlight. Laurel Bay is a large growing herb that can grow to between 7.5-12 metres with a spread of about 8 metres unless maintained.
