  • With this Lavatera Rosea (Tree Mallow), you will receive a beautifully bushy plant known for its masses of soft pink, hibiscus-like blooms that appear throughout summer. The flowers are large, elegant, and eye-catching, creating an instant splash of colour in borders, cottage garden plantings, and wildlife-friendly spaces.

  • Lavatera Rosea is a fast-growing and easy-to-care-for shrub, settling quickly into well-drained soil and thriving in full sun or light shade. Its naturally upright, branching habit produces a long season of blooms and attractive, velvety green foliage. This makes it a popular choice for filling gaps, adding height, or creating a soft, informal structure within mixed borders.

  • Each plant is selected for strong growth and healthy foliage, ready to establish well in its new position and reward you with months of vibrant summer colour. Perfect for adding instant impact and attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies to your garden.

  • Supplied as 2 plants in 9cm pots, each one is ready to establish quickly and provide reliable growth and vibrant seasonal colour.

  • Plant genus Lavatera

Watering Water deeply after planting and keep the root zone consistently moist while the rose establishes. Once established, water thoroughly during dry spells, directing water to the base rather than over the foliage. Container-grown roses dry out faster and should be checked regularly in warm weather.

Best Growing Conditions Grow in sun or partial shade in fertile, well-drained loam. Choose a position with good airflow and enough space for the plant to reach its mature size. Mulch after planting and keep the root zone free from prolonged waterlogging, particularly through winter.

    Top tip

Deadhead faded flowers through the season to keep the display tidy and encourage further blooms where the variety is repeat-flowering. Good drainage is especially important, so avoid leaving the roots sitting in persistently wet or compacted soil.
