  • Lily of the Valley, botanically known as Convallaria majalis, is a charming woodland perennial loved for its dainty, bell-shaped white flowers and beautifully sweet fragrance. Flowering in late spring, it produces arching stems of delicate blooms above fresh green foliage, bringing a soft, traditional feel to shaded corners of the garden.

  • Supplied as bare roots, these plants establish quickly and gradually spread to form a lush carpet over time. They’re perfect for planting beneath trees, along shaded pathways or in woodland-style borders where they can naturalise and return year after year.

    • Light Required Partial shade to full shade

    Watering Water after planting and during dry periods; keep soil evenly moist but well drained.

    Best Growing Conditions Plant in partial to full shade in moist, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Keep watered while establishing, especially in dry spells. Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering to feed the roots for the following season.
