• Magnolia Stellata is a beautiful, compact shrub or small tree that really comes into its own in early spring. It produces silky buds that open into elegant, star-shaped white flowers, creating a soft and eye-catching display before the leaves even appear.

• The flowers have a light, pleasant fragrance and tend to cover the plant for several weeks, making it a real highlight in the garden at a time when not much else is in bloom.

• With its bushy, manageable growth, it’s one of the best magnolias for small to medium-sized gardens. It fits nicely into borders or can be used as a feature plant, adding a touch of brightness and elegance without taking up too much space.

Watering Water thoroughly after planting and keep the soil evenly moist while the plant establishes. Once established, water during prolonged dry periods rather than little and often, allowing the soil to drain between waterings. Container-grown plants should be checked more frequently in warm or windy weather.

Best Growing Conditions Grow in sun or partial shade in fertile loam. Choose a position with good airflow and enough space for the plant to reach its mature size. Mulch after planting and keep the root zone free from prolonged waterlogging, particularly through winter.
