The stuttgarter giant is a variety of white onion and is a British favourite. Known for it's a mild as well as slightly sweet taste, which is perfect for cooking with or salads. This onion set will produce large onions and and a fantastic crop. They are relatively easy to grow and require only occasional watering during particularly dry periods. However, they should be weeded regularly.
- Plant January - April, Winter to Early Spring
- Harvest onions in late June and July, a week or two after the leaves begin to turn yellow. Choose a dry day to loosen them from the ground with a fork.
- 500g approximately, as weight of each onion may vary the set total may not be exact.
- Store in cool dark spot with good ventilation if not ready for planting now.
