  • Oriental lily Mount Aspiring is a refined, beautifully clean variety, producing smooth white blooms highlighted by a fresh green throat that gives each flower a luminous quality. The combination of snowy petals and that subtle wash of green creates a serene, almost icy effect in the garden, particularly lovely in evening light. Standing tall on sturdy stems, this lily brings a calm, elegant presence to summer displays.

  • This is a forgiving and easy lily to grow, ideal for gardeners who like plants that deliver maximum impact with minimal attention. Whether grown in pots on the patio or planted directly in borders, Mount Aspiring settles quickly and returns reliably each year. It is also an exceptional cut flower “” the white-and-green contrast looks stunning in indoor arrangements and stays fresh for days.

  • As with all lily bulbs, store them well if youre not planting right away. A cool, frost-free environment with good air circulation is perfect. Keep them out of reach of mice and check occasionally for softness. Plant promptly once conditions allow, spacing the bulbs well so their tall stems have room to develop and put on a beautiful summer performance.

  • Light Required Full sun to partial shade

Best Growing Conditions These bulbs should be planted in Spring in acidic soil, when the chance of Winter frosts have passed. Oriental lilies look best when planted in odd numbered groups. Plant them 10 to 15 cm deep, in a hole up to three times the size of the bulb. Space them 10 to 20 cm apart in fertile well draining soil in a sheltered area that gets full sun to partial shade. Lilies like a cold dormant phase through the Winter but it's important to ensure they have adequate drainage and not get waterlogged as this causes the bulbs to rot.
