The Philodendron Prince of Orange, commonly known as the Heart Leaf Plant or Sweetheart Plant is a rare and highly desired live Indoor. This evergreen houseplant has stunning autumnal toned air purifying foliage and is a real talking point. The Prince of Orange's new leaves emerging a vibrant yellow that then turn a reddish coppery orange which then slowly transforms a bright green.
This orange Philodendron likes lots of bright indirect sunlight to help produce new growth and allow its stunning orange tones to form. If the leaves start to show signs of going all green, this plant needs to be moved to a brighter location. The Prince of Orange is slightly different to other Philodendrons in that it doesn’t have a trailing habit like some of its relatives. It can grow to a height of 30–60 cm with a spread of a similar size.

Watering Water when the top few centimetres of compost begin to dry, then water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain away. Do not leave the plant sitting in standing water, as consistently wet roots can lead to rot. Growth slows in winter, so reduce watering frequency during cooler, darker months.
Best Growing Conditions Grow in bright, indirect light, ideally at around 18-26°C, away from cold draughts and sudden temperature changes. Use a good-quality, well-drained houseplant compost and make sure excess water can drain freely from the pot. Most houseplants perform best with moderate humidity and should be kept away from strong radiator heat.
