  • Primrose Apple Blossom, or Primula, are hardy, low-maintenance perennial bedding plants that may live outside. This lovely type has soft blush and pink flowers that look like they belong in the spring. Even in the middle of winter, they make the garden feel fresh and new. These small plants grow to be about 15 to 20 cm tall and add colour that lasts from the colder months into early spring.

  • Primrose Apple Blossom comes as sturdy, ready-to-plant bedding plants that are great for giving rapid colour to borders, edging, patio containers, and window boxes. Their early blossoms are a great supply of nectar for bees and other pollinators when there isn't much else around, so they are a great choice for planting that is good for wildlife. Once they are established, they are reliable perennials that come back year after year with little trouble.

  • Primroses do best in moist, well-drained soil that gets full sun to light shade. They work well in alpine-style planting combinations, spring bedding schemes, and cottage garden displays. Use a high-quality, all-purpose compost with grit or perlite added to make drainage better for pots.
