  • STUNNING FOLIAGE - Rusty-bronze foliage appears in the spring decorating the chestnut brown branches. The leaves of this dwarf flowering cherry tree are coarsely serrated and mid-green before turning orange and red in autumn.

  • FULLY HARDY - This Japanese Alpine Cherry, as it is more commonly known, is tolerant of most situations.

  • EVENTUAL SIZE - An ideal ornamental tree for a smaller garden. This arrives potted in a 9cm pot, but Prunus 'Brilliant' will grow to its estimated full height and spread of about 2.5 x 2.5 metres in 20 years.

    Best Growing Conditions Very little is needed in the way of care for Prunus spinosa. It grows well in a variety of soil types from sun to partial sun exposures. It is, however, susceptible to several fungal diseases which can cause blossom wilt and, therefore, affect fruit production.
