• This South American native houseplant is fast growing and easy to care for. Its eye catching trailing foliage makes it the perfect gift for any house plant enthusiasts, and its low maintenance makes it suitable for beginners.
• Tradescantia grows best in a spot where it gets bright, indirect light. The soil should be moist, but not waterlogged. Water regularly, checking to see when the top couple of inches of soil are dry.  Keep in a warm room, and try to bottom water it to prevent water sitting on the leaves, by placing it in a saucer of water and wait for it to absorb as much as it needs.
• Check the bottom of the pot once a year, to see whether it needs repotting – if there are lots of roots coming out of the holes it may need a slightly bigger pot. Use a good quality, well draining potting compost when repotting, and prune to desired size if it starts to get too large.
